5 Best Wedding Venues in Bhilai – Photographer’s Picks.
Choosing the right venue shapes almost everything about your wedding photos — the light, the backdrops, the space to move around in. After shooting weddings across Bhilai and Durg for years, here are five venues we keep recommending to couples, and what makes each one work well for photography.
1. Mahendra Resort
Mahendra Resort is a popular choice for both weddings and corporate events in Bhilai. It has a large, fully air-conditioned banquet hall along with a spacious garden area and plenty of parking. For photography, the garden lawn is the real draw — it gives us open, naturally lit space for couple portraits and family group shots, which is much harder to get right inside a closed hall.
2. Jharokha
Jharokha is built around lush lawns, a poolside area, and a large number of guest rooms — making it a good fit for multi-day wedding functions. The poolside setting in particular photographs beautifully in the evening, especially for reception shots with string lighting or diyas reflecting off the water.
3. Anantya Greens Resort (Durg)
Located near the Shivnath River in Durg, Anantya Greens Resort is known for its riverside setting. If you want a wedding with a natural, scenic backdrop rather than a purely indoor hall, this is one of the few venues in the area that genuinely delivers on that — river-view portraits here come out looking like a proper destination shoot, without leaving Chhattisgarh.
4. Abhinandan Palace
Abhinandan Palace works well for both intimate ceremonies and larger celebrations, with the flexibility to scale the setup up or down. That flexibility is useful for photography too — smaller functions get a more personal, candid feel, while bigger events give us room for wide shots of the full mandap and stage setup.
5. The Roman Park
The Roman Park is on the more premium end, with a large ballroom, a separate reception lobby, and dozens of guest rooms on-site. The reception lobby is a nice touch specifically for photography — it gives a proper welcome/entry moment to capture, which a lot of venues don’t have a dedicated space for.
Which venue is right for you?
Every venue has a different “best light” — some work beautifully in the morning, others come alive after sunset. When you book us for your wedding, we’ll walk the venue with you beforehand and plan the shoot around its strengths, so nothing is left to chance on the day.
